a wee catch up

"...but Covid-19 leaves room for speculation and uncertainty. We don't know when this travesty will end. We don't know how it will end and who will be affected. We don't know who is going to die, and worst of all, we don't know who we'll be afterwards." I wrote that back in April or something. I wrote that when I didn't know what COVID meant for me and my family. It was the seemingly endless amount of time where the world as we had known it was in black and white, but now we were suddenly stuck in a gray.

We still don't know who is going to die, but I can say with certainty, I know who I am, and this is no way afterwards, but it is a point down the road that needs to be touched on.

We have all changed drastically since COVID-19 came into our lives. Our outlook on life has become bleaker, our hopes for the presidential election is anything but Trump. Dr. Fauci says the vaccine should be out by early 2021, but other private companies are reporting detrimental brain damage in children that they did not predict in rats. Everything is constantly changing and evolving at a rate that did not occur before. The internet is even more toxic than before and this presidential campaign cycle is truly the nastiest one yet. The amount of backstabbing and disrespect for both parties, but particularly that which is aimed at Biden, is ridiculous. I certainly have changed. I thought being president was the most esteemed position in the world, but these past few months have proved otherwise. I talk differently now, more eloquently and mature (for the most part), I'm softer. I am no longer a dick. I view the world in a very different light and thus my outlook has changed. I try to be more positive. I am more positive. I set intentions. I do not get as discouraged as before. I am a different, more mature, more Madeline version of myself.
